When life was a little less hectic, I would make Sundays my self-care day! I looked at it as preparation for the start of my work week. Today when I woke up, I just felt extremely exhausted. I could feel my body saying to rest. So I decided to sleep in. As I was resting, I remember how I use to take those moments to pamper myself. After I was spiritually fed at church and after eating a great dinner, I would light candles, put on some music and take a bath. Sometimes I would include doing a mani/pedi. Just something to relax. I think I need to get back to those moments and intentionally take some time out for some self-care. After I rested today, I decided to give my hair some love after removing my braids. Washing, conditioning and letting her be in her natural state. Letting my hair just breathe and be free. After a long hot shower, I threw on one of my favorite t-shirts and put on one of my favorite body sprays. It may not seem like much to you, but having that time by yourself, to just love on yourself is so important. I’m feeling really amazing right now. Don’t leave yourself out of your day of taking care of everything and everyone else! You matter too!🌻 #iamimaginemichelle #selflove #selfcare #youmatter
